“Today’s Special Day”
“Don…Don…Don…” Finally, the show is coming soon today. In the way walking to school, I am still reciting the introductions of the show as if I am telling the sky, trees and the birds that I am going to hosting the “Spirited Talents” show today with my leadership classmates in my school today, and hope they can join with us. I don’t know how exciting I am. I want all people around the world to know that I am so special today because I carry a big task. I will do my best and show to everybody that I can do the things as properly as I can. Let my audiences gain confidences from me. I can’t wait such greatest moment to come.
During the third period, all my leadership classmates are coming down to the auditorium for getting really the show. We all are reminding each other’s part of the speech and organizing who is going together with whom. We are kind of like exercising our leadership skills gain from our professional training.
By the time, all of the students and teachers are coming, we are screaming little, because it means it is the time to begin our today’s show. Most of us are the first time to stand on the stage and we are little bit nervous. Fortunately, we pat each other’s shoulder in order to comfort us. The music is coming, “One… Two… Three…Four… Five… Six…Seven… Eight…” Herman is pointing his finger. Then we are progressing bravely to the front stage. My heart is shocking. Also I feel so special and powerful in the front stage because everybody is looking at us.
“Good Morning Everyone!” Stella is proclaiming. Our Welcome Message is beginning. The speech is passing one by one smoothly. All of us use all of our energy to express our confidences and braves. Our voices are full of leaderships and spirits. “Happy New Year!” that is my turn. I am nervous but also just feel naturally to speak out my throat. My heart is banging as if sending the message that “Hey! HUIQING, YOU ARE SPECIAL PERSON. JUST KEEP DOING WHAT YOU NEED TO DO. CALM DOWN! NOTHING IS MATTER! YOUR AUDIENCE WILL NOT YELL AT YOU!” I relax myself. Then I become more comfortable to deal my second part of speech.
I introduce four groups of performers in Chinese at beginning of the show. I discover that I am much better each time, my pace is more cooperative like soldier, my voice is more sonorous and my heart is steadier. So I believe practice makes perfect. Each time, when I stand on the stage, I don’t know how to describe my emotion. It is kind of like the excitement with the some specialization of spirits. I think it is the reason we called this show “Spirited Talents”. For talents, all of the performers are so professional. They dance like dancers, sing like Micro Jackson, and acting like great actors. I am so proud of them and myself.
As each time, I finish the introduction; the burden on my back is lighter and lighter. We still manger the performers for next show in the back of the curtain. We are discussing and making minor change if the situation is little bit out of our planning. We know that the leaders should be flexible in any situation. We have yelled each other under control to make sure nobody falls into sleep, or keep to remind each other’s part. So the whole program is going smoothly and successfully under everyone’s participation. We admire each other that we do a great job.
In the end of the show, I run out the curtain, and see everybody is carrying the smile which means they appreciate our work. My little heart is wondering again: “SEE! HUIQING! DO YOU SEE YOUR WORK ON YOUR AUDIENCES’ FACE? SEE! THEY ARE SO HAPPY! THAT IS YOUR WORK DONE ON THEIR SPIRIT! YOU GUYS REALLY HAVE DONE A WONDERFUL JOB!” I almost want to cry out, but it is the crying of my happiness from my deep heart. ‘She’ is keeping sending the messages back forth in my backbone to brain. Also this show proves my ability to be a leader, which is my resolution for this year. Finally, I am successful. I also put this experience into my brain deeply, and taste it. It is sweeter than everything I ever have, because I have provides it with my special honey.
Then we have little celebration in library. We discuss and admire each other that we are doing great job. Each of us receives an award of Appreciation. It is the evidence to prove our participation on the show. But the meaning of it is to tell us that when we give out something for free, we will receive more in back. That award is heavier than everything, because it contains our work, spirit, and talents which make it so special. It is worth more than everything, because you can’t buy it from some where, but your memory of putting yourself in part of the show.
Today is My Special Day! I become a special person with my special leadership skills because of this special “SPIRITED TALENTS” Show. It provs me I can be a special leader. I carry this greatest achievement with my delighted heart home in order to share with my family. Thanks God for this good opportunity. So I am receiving all of thankful and appreciative messages from all of my greatest audiences through the wire of our special leadership skills, talents and spirits in the show. It is my significant reward. It is worth much than every diamond, tasteful than any kind of seafood, and sweeter than any of honey. I also will guard it with my special spirit permanently in my heart, not let anyone to damage it. I would like to taste it any time I want and bring it to my future life. Today, everything is amazing, which forms my this today’s special day!!!
